Translation == Introduction == The vehicle and dump Girona is a work that meets the requirements related to the collection of household waste for recycling or disposal. The growing demand of social group in the environmental issue this work was necessary. The proposal should consider developing a program for multiple uses, diversified and independent and sometimes contradictory. On the one hand, the site for the collection, storage and sorting of domestic waste, and on the other hand, the parking lot of vehicles of municipal services for cleaning and garbage collection and maintenance workshops for these vehicles. Rounding out the program, changing rooms for staff and administrative units of the company that manages these services. The architects Esteve Aymerich and Ton were Salvadó FAD Prize for Architecture and Interior Design in 1997 for this work. == Situation == The work was carried out in a large plot in Girona, in front of a street vehicle. The topography is inclined in a direction perpendicular to the street. == Concept == The approach is based on a single lens implanted parallel to the longitudinal alignment of the road and perpendicular to the slope of the terrain, which concentrates all functions. Building on the slope of the terrain, the volume divides the site into two zones: one open to the public street, which operates the landfill, and another area that is oriented towards the interior of the site is occupied by the parking lot. It creates a double access to the building clearly distinguishes the roles from the street to the administrative area, and inside workshops, warehouses and locker rooms. Also, taking advantage of the gap, there is access to a double in the direction perpendicular to the street, and tangential to the opposite side boundaries of the site for the two approaches to the volume of income built. At the upper end, facing southwest, public access to the docks of discharge of waste, administrative staff and pedestrian access to locker rooms. At the bottom, facing northwest, access to trucks for the transportation of waste containers and vehicles for cleaning and garbage collection. == Spaces == The box is prismatic 16 x 56 meters. The cross section defines the main entrance from the street at an intermediate level, connecting the two floors of the building through the administrative area. The interior is set in eight bays of 7 meters of light, arranged for the use and structure. Determine the first five bays ships washing and workshops, with five large openings oriented courtyard. The four bays dedicated to the workshops in those openings are closed by means of sectional doors. The next leg of a single corridor is occupied by the warehouse and acts as a union with the following body built. The last two bays defined the southern end of the prism. The ground floor is occupied by the locker room with a separate entrance from the back yard. The first floor is occupied by the administrative units of the company managing the facility. The facades are nearly blind. The lighting of the interior spaces is done through large skylights in the roof, which protrude above the crown of the facades. == Materials == The box is wrapped in a sheet of galvanized metal skin interrupted only by a few holes, which emphasizes the condition of the factory building. == Structure == The first five bays shaped by porticos metal cross. A single corridor has two cross-bearing walls. The last two bays are designed with pillars and jácenas. == Drawings == <gallery> Image:01_estacionamiento.jpg| </gallery> == Photos == <gallery> Image:09_estacionamiento.jpg| Image:10_estacionamiento.jpg| Image:11_estacionamiento.jpg| Image:12_estacionamiento.jpg| Image:13_estacionamiento.jpg| Image:14_estacionamiento.jpg| Image:15_estacionamiento.jpg| Image:16_estacionamiento.jpg| </gallery>
