In order to keep closer contact with our customers and make it easier for everyone to share the information on WikiArquitectura with their friends and contacts we added a series of icons in the sidebar of all our pages that will allow you to post links on social networks and most used bookmarks pages faster.

Urbanism in WikiArquitectura

One of the greatness of the architecture is that it can materialize at scales as different as we can imagine.
When one thinks of thought in architecture or building houses, but why not, we could also think of a more detailed objectives as a chair or coffee.
Just as the architecture is responsible for these objects to serve its main building is also in charge of manufacturing often a good site for his works. This branch is called the planning and allows our cities continue to grow without plunging into total chaos. We see it as an architecture and urbanism are dependent of each other and that makes sense without urban architecture and architecture needs to be organized by the Urban Planning.
Because these two are so closely related sciences, we have decided to grant a small place in the Urban Planning WikiArquitectura including neighborhoods, cities, metropolitan areas and even countries in AutoCad format. At the moment our repertoire is wide and is limited to cities in Spain but we hope to extend it in a few weeks.
To access these planes should simply go in search of works by geographic location and navigate to the city you're looking for. If the plan is available for this city you'll see an icon with the logo of AutoCad that will allow you to download the plane.

WikiArquitectura has been nominated in the category of Best Website Webmasters that Congress will hold its second edition on 21, 22 and November 23 at the Palacio de Congresos in Madrid.
WikiArquitectura whole team we are proud of this recognition and thank all our users with their views and contributions are making this project possible.
Treatment of Abandoned Fichas

Recently we have encountered an increasing number of construction sites "abandoned." To avoid the accumulation of these works, our review team will place a label next to each work, indicating the actions to be taken with respect to each work if anyone else calls him and pledges to end within a specified period of time.
So far the chips could be in the "under construction" indefinitely. From now one, after 3 months with no activity on the card is a label that gives the author a period of 15 to 30 days to resume the work. If the user takes a card in this building may be:
- Given closed and stored in our database.
- Removal and removed from our database.
- Set the hands of our editors for proper completion and inclusion in the database.
New file formats accepted

We have built a new extension designed specifically for WikiArquitectura we hope to ensure that our chips are even more complete and more particularly useful for our users.
Since it is now possible to include planes in different formats in each of the chips. The accepted formats are:
- AutoCad (. Dwg)
- 3D Studio Max (. Max, .3 ds)
- Rhinoceros (.3 dm)
- Google SketchUp (. Skp)
The plans appear in the "Maps" tab of each represented by the icon for its extension.
To download the files simply click on the icon and choose to save.
To add files of these extensions in any form must follow these steps:
- Get the file as if it were an image by clicking on the "upload file" from the menu on the left.
- Edit the file where you want to incorporate the chain and enter the following code in the "Flat"

You can include as many files as you want in a single file lines with the addition of information for each file.
Video Tutorial

We created a video tutorial to assist users in the process of creating new chips. It can see the process of building a more complete our chips from start to finish.
TV WikiArquitectura

On May 15 WikiArquitectura took pleasure to appear on the program issued by the Open House 2 Spanish Television (TVE2) in its issue devoted to architecture online.
Google Maps
1. March
We have built a new extension with which you can insert maps provided by Google Maps in any form WikiArquitectura.
To insert a map just edit the file you're working in and click "insert map" on the toolbar editing. Will deploy a menu where you can see a preview of the map you're working. Now you can focus the map with the "search" by simply entering the name of the city or town you want to view. You can also customize the size of the map as well as buttons that users can use to navigate it.
Once you've completed the configuration of your map just copy the code that will be gone by the end creating the configuration menu and on the copy of the file where you want it to appear.
Suggest a project or Project
February
We created a new section for all users, registered or not, may suggest new works or projects for inclusion in our database.
You can find the new section in the navigation menu on the left side of every page of the website.
We can not guarantee the inclusion of the suggested works but our team of editors will consider them when developing new products.
MediaWiki Update
January
We've updated version that runs on the MediaWiki WikiArquitectura to version 1.11.1.
This does not make any difference to users who can keep browsing the web with complete normality and under the same interface so far. However involve a number of facilities for our programmers to follow when incorporating extensions to improve the user experience.

Add videos from Youtube
We have built a new extension which will include videos from YouTube on any page of WikiArquitectura.
Need to incorporate a video introducing the reference in the video on Youtube tags for extension: <youtube> </youtube>
Example: Visit the YouTube video you want to include in WikiArquitectura and see the URL in your browser.

The reference in the video is always in last place in the URL, and always after "v =". In this case, the video will be variable: qirkarpBrMM
For the video appears on WikiArquitectura should enter as follows:
